I had a long long day in school today. No time for me to rest. Once I came to school, I had to go down for traffic duty. Then there were lessons. At recess, I helped to sell food for project tsunami. Then there were lessons again. I left halfway during physics to help out in cca registration. After that I went back to class, and found out that a lot had been going on while I was downstairs. Gosh, we have to share physics cds over the weekend? Unreasonable. But it's not like I have a say in things. Oh well. I packed madly when I realised it was already 2.30. I was supposed to open the handbells room by then. Fortunately I had been prepared not to have lunch- I ate quite a lot during recess. Handbells lasted till 5.30. I had to do some admin stuff. And talk to lao shi about some things. Then I came home. Just. My chinese tuition is in two hours.
Until this year I never really realised why the previous handbells presidents never had lunch on cca days. But now I know. There is so much to do, and by the time you get it done, lunch time is over. And I realised why deborah was always so worked up about our performances last year. I mean, I didn't see any cause for worry. But now I understand. As president you are more or less solely responsible for the performance of the handbell choir. I remember learning during LTC that everything rises and falls with leadership. So true. Whether I like it or not, the pressure is really intense!
Even then, I'm thankful for this year's batch. There sure is a lot of brushing up to do, but this is only a natural process. I wasn't a fantastic player either when I joined the performing group. And I'm thankful that God has given me someone who can really understand how I feel about this whole thing - Rachel Lim. (: She's kind of in the same situation as me. And of course, I can always look to my other friends for help too. And most importantly, I have God to be there with me, and guide me all the way! (:
